Fun at the apple orchard

This past weekend we went to Peterson's Apple Orchard in Delano with Gpa Krohn and Great Gpa and Gma Krohn. We had so much fun looking at the baby animals, shopping and going into the pumpkin patch. However, we ended up not buying a single apple. Instead we each brought home a whole watermelon [ $2 a melon what a great deal!]. Jonah LOVES any type of melon we feed him. So he has been really happy this past week eating the watermelon. It was also nice to go back and see the place were Great Gpa and Gma used to live. They had this beautiful rambler on acreage. The apple orchard is right across the street from where they used to live. Gpa Krohn used to own over 25 acres of land and filled it up with apple trees that he planted. Mike would tell me all of the fun stories he had when he was young of planting, pruning and picking apples from the 700 apple trees at the old house. Gpa Krohn is the expert when it comes to apple picking and the types of apples. We have 5 apple trees at our house and Gpa has given us great advice on when to pick them, prune them etc.
