The reception

We all got our energy back for the reception and were ready to party. It was at the golf course. The food was great, so was the drinks. Kids loved running outside in the balcony that was filled with lights for nighttime. We had a great time dancing. We danced away to Frank Sinatra and other classics. Jonah and Annie Violet got right to the dance floor and partied. Some of the best highlights were when we hit the wine glasses for kisses from the bride and groom. They did it so much that Jonah wanted one. He walked to Staci and gave her a kiss, everybody laughed. Tracy, Staci's twin sister, gave a really nice speech about how special she thought the two of them were together. Then it was time for Mike to give his speech. He practiced it on the way to IN in the car. He was so nervous on how emotional he was going to get by talking about our late uncle John, Curt's dad. But he wanted him to be remembered, and he was. I was so proud of Mike and so was the rest of the family. Curt was so moved by it. He went over and gave him a huge hug. After that, they had the first dances. Best moment, one of them, that Curt went to his mom and asked her to dance. He surprised her with the song Crazy by Patsy Cline. Which brings a tear to my eye just writing it. I had never seen her so happy. She said afterwards, it was like dancing with John. Like going back in time and feeling the way they used to when they danced with each other. It was a great time for our family and we are so blessed to have Staci be in it.
